The need for a Communication Assistance Course

This course is needed because many people with communication disabilities tell us that they want trained people who:

• Understand the communication barriers they may face
• Have a clear sense of their role as a communication assistant
• Have guidelines and strategies when assisting them with communication
• Can be hired by organizations to support them communicating at meetings and forums
