What the Course does not provide

The Course does not prepare participants to:

• Support people who do not have a way to communicate or the skills to communicate what they want to convey
• Assess, provide therapy or communication services
• Recommend communication methods or devices
• Support a person communicating in critical contexts (e.g. police, legal or justice situations) if a family member or familiar person is either not available or not appropriate and where a neutral, arms-length Speech-Language Pathologist may be required to assist.
